Mukesh Khanna shared an anecdote involving Amitabh Bachchan
Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna gained a huge fanbase in the country for his work in Mahabharat and Shaktimaan. He has been recently making the headlines for reprising his role of Shaktimaan after 19 years. As he is gearing up for the second season of the show, Khanna recently shared some anecdotes and spoke about the reports of Amitabh Bachchan ruining his career.

In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, he also spoke about a comment from Big B that stayed with him. Recalling the incident, the 66-year-old actor revealed that he had starred in an advertisement where he has to put on perfume and girls turn to look at him. The advertisement was watched by a person, who was Bachchan's friend, while it was being played in a theatre. He added, "Amitji has certain style."

Expressing how if he were in the Piku actor's place, he would have said the same thing, Mukesh added, "He told me that Amit ji saw the ad and said, 'Saala copy karta hai (He's copying me).' You can call me self-respecting or stubborn, but I told that man, 'Pagal hai tu, woh aisa bolege? (Are you mad? Do you think he'd say this?)'." He revealed that despite waving it off, the sentence stayed with him.

When asked if the 82-year-old actor sabotaged his career, Khanna defend him by stating that they never worked together. Calling the statement nonsensical, he revealed that he even scolded a reporter for asking a similar question. Quoted by Firstpost, he said, "We never worked together, but to say that Amitabh Bachchan finished my career is a nonsensical statement made by somebody. I told him, a reporter 'Are you mad?'"
