The city of Battle Ground is looking for volunteers interested in serving on its climate policy advisory team.
The new advisory group will help guide and shape the city's future growth and climate strategies to be included in the city's comprehensive growth plan.
As part of this periodic review, state law requires the city to incorporate a climate goal into its growth plan. This climate goal will focus on enhancing resilience to improve climate preparedness, response and recovery, while also addressing the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and vehicle miles traveled.
Battle Ground is seeking 10 to 15 volunteers to serve on the advisory team. Candidates should live, work or represent organizations in the city, bring a diversity of backgrounds and experiences, and be able to attend monthly meetings February through June.
