Alyvia McCorkle poured in 40 points as Bettendorf upset Class 4A fourth-ranked Central DeWitt 70-64 on the road Friday night.
The Bulldogs' junior standout, who is getting Division I looks, made 16 of 18 free throw attempt to go with nine 2s and two 3s as Bettendorf prevented Central DeWitt from an outright Mississippi Athletic Conference title.
The Sabers and Pleasant Valley each finished 16-2 in MAC play, although Central DeWitt did sweep the two regular-season meetings. Lauren Walker led the Sabers with 18 points. Clara LeConte and Ava Putman added 12 each for the Sabers.
Aliva Carr netted 13 points for the Bulldogs, who finished 13-5 in the MAC and 16-6 overall.

Reigning Gatorade Player of the Year Divine Bourrage of Davenport North was on crutches and did not play in the Wildcats' 84-26 road win over Muscatine on Friday night.

Bourrage was hurt in North's 63-37 win over Davenport Assumption on Tuesday, which was also coach Paul Rucker's 100th victory leading the Wildcats. Bourrage, an LSU commit, suffered a left foot injury early in the win over the Knights.
North's next game will be against the Davenport Central-Muscatine winner on Saturday, Feb. 22 in the Class 5A Region 7 semifinals.
