Chosen, now in his ninth NFL season, joined Miami's practice squad shortly after the final roster cutdowns in August. Chosen was elevated to the active roster in each of the last two weeks, recording one catch on four targets for five yards.
Carman, 24, was released by the Bengals after a rough training camp, which included four penalties (three holds and a false start) against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 of the preseason. He played 342 snaps at right guard as a rookie in 2021 but was on the field for just 16 regular-season snaps over the last two seasons.
Carman started all 12 games as a junior at Clemson and earned second-team All-ACC honors before declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft. He joins Anderson Hardy and Bayron Matos as offensive linemen on Miami's practice squad. Meanwhile, receivers Dee Eskridge and Erik Ezukanma remain on the unit following the decision to move on from Chosen.
