Thunder Rosa and the San Diego Padres celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

AEW star Thunder Rosa was in San Diego over the weekend to help MLB's Padres celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. On Saturday, the former AEW Women's Champion threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Pads faced the Chicago White Sox at Petco Park.

As she does in the ring, Rosa brought the heat -- perhaps more than the Padres' mascot, the Swinging Friar, could handle. A lifelong Padres fan, she expressed her gratitude to the organization on Instagram, saying:

"Thankful of the whole @padres organization for inviting me to throw the first pitch. As a Tijuana native my whole family have been Padres fans but this is special for my dad who has been a Padres fans his entire life. It's a true honor to come home and be part of this celebration during #hispanicheritagemonth #padres #sandiego #sandiegopadres"

Thunder Rosa also brought good luck to San Diego. The Padres beat the White Sox, winning 6-2 on Saturday before completing a three-game sweep on Sunday. They are now one win away from clinching a playoff spot.
