The Cleveland Browns suffered a disappointing loss at home on Sunday against the New York Giants to drop to 1-2.
Entering the game favored against the winless Giants, fans were hoping to see a dominant performance from Cleveland to bring some energy back into the team. Instead, the team went down 21-7 in the first half and was unable to mount a comeback despite plenty of chances on offense in the second half.
While the team has not done much to instill any sort of confidence in the fanbase so far this season, the players themselves at least still seem confident that they can right the ship in 2024.
On a recent radio appearance, safety Rodney McLeod spoke about how the Browns are not alone in where they stand, record-wise.
"What's reality is that we're a 1-2 football team," McLeod said. "And there are several 1-2 football teams that are out there who I'm sure are going to make the playoffs and end up where they want to be, and I'm confident that we will be one of those teams, as well."
While the start has certainly not been ideal for Cleveland, McLeod is correct in that there are plenty of playoff hopefuls that are in similar positions. In fact, the Browns are quite familiar with two of those teams, the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, who have begun the season 1-2 and 0-3, respectively.

Regardless, nothing will change for the Browns until they actually make a difference on the field, which they will hope to do in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
