Halloween hasn't even come and gone but Netflix is already dropping teasers for the upcoming holiday season -- and the time-honored tradition of cheesy Christmas rom-coms.
On Oct. 9, the streaming network revealed first-look photos of "One Tree Hill" actor Chad Michael Murray starring in the film "The Merry Gentlemen."
The movie, according to Netflix, stars Britt Robertson as "a former big-city dancer" who decides to put on an "all-male, Christmas-themed revue" to "save her parents' small-town" venue, the Rhythm Room.
"My character, Ashley, decides to take her skill as a dancer and choreographer and marries that with some hot dudes at the bar to make 'The Merry Gentlemen' show. She may or may not save the bar ..." Robertson told Tudum, Netflix's in-house outlet. "I didn't even have to do any of the burlesque. I get to just watch a bunch of very talented dudes do it."
Murray said his character, Luke, is a "kind, confident and slightly sarcastic" contractor who helps out at the family venue.
"He's thrust into an unfamiliar situation and is pushed to the limits of comfortability," Murray told Tudum.
Murray revealed that he did the dancing in the film as well, taking the preparation very seriously.
"It was something that I'd never done. I said, 'Oh, this scares the crap out of me. I've got to do this,'" he told the outlet. "I made a bunch of phone calls and said, 'Let's get in as much rehearsal time as possible.'"
He added that rehearsing the dancing brought the cast together.
"If you're going to do it, you got to do it right. You got to go all in. All the guys were awesome," Murray said. "There was definitely a bond there. Everybody just helped each other up. And everyone else had a different gift to give to the film."
