The Title Sponsors, Alexander Wilson Architecture, also took the Closest to the Button prize with Andy, the owner of the firm, hitting a rock within .225 metres of the centre. Top prize went to the Ripley Rink team, led by Dave Kimball. "Our goal was to have at least four teams in our inaugural year and, we ended up with six competing, including a lot of newcomers who took part in the games and the "Learn to Curl" lessons. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome than raising nearly $7,000 and gaining the support of our community and sponsors," said Hazzem Koudsi, CEO of Habitat PEH.
Curlers were treated to delectable food from Flossie's Sandwich Parlour thanks to the Lunch Sponsors, Bill Ritskes & Kelly Paddon from RE/MAX Quinte and the Property Connect Group Lunch. Prizes to the teams and individual winners were donated by Black Bear Ridge Golf Course and Resort and Trillium Wood Golf Course.
