Man accused of traveling faster than 100 mph on I-95 later crashed on Seabrook road, police say

A Rochester man faces several charges after a police pursuit and a crash in Seabrook that injured a woman in his car. Massachusetts State Police began pursuing the driver just after 10:30 p.m., when they said Jordan Metherall, 31, was traveling faster than 100 mph on Interstate 95.New Hampshire state troopers followed Metherall's vehicle driven off Exit 1 in Seabrook. Police said Metherall traveled down several secondary roads before crashing into another vehicle at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 107.Police said Metherall tried to run from the scene, but he was taken into custody.A woman in his car suffered serious injuries, including internal bleeding, damage to the liver and broken ribs.The driver of the second vehicle was not hurt.Police said Metherall possessed a knife, which he cannot have as a convicted felon. Police said he gave them a fake name and identification at first. He is still in a hospital in police custody, officials said."So we're going to have your arraignment tomorrow, where counsel can try to reach out to you, explain to you what you're charged with, review your criminal history and come up with a bail argument to make to the court," Judge Dorothy Walch, Hampton District Court, said in court.Metherall faces charges including reckless conduct, disobeying an officer and conduct after an accident. He will be arraigned Tuesday. The area around the crash scene was closed for about 90 minutes as officers investigated.
