Although Christmas has come and gone, holiday cheer is still in the air as we all prepare for the New Year. A few New Year's events are happening across the city. Here's some way to bring in the New Year with music, food and fun. The festivities kick off just as early as the 27th at some places.
Dec. 27, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Thirsty Pig, 257 South Saint Andrews St. in Dothan. Since New Year's Eve is on a Tuesday, the Thirsty Pig decided to celebrate New Year's Eve on Friday, Dec. 27 and also on Saturday, Dec. 28. Two days of live music, food, drinks and fun. Enjoy local sensations No Strings Attached as they play Southern rock, bluegrass, country and more for your enjoyment in the backyard of the Thirsty Pig. Crossing at Big Creek, 300 Crossing Pkwy in Cottonwood, presents Sneaker Ball: Big Creek New Year's Eve Celebration.
