CLEMSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Clemson University's Student Health Services said there has been a surge in the number of positive flu cases on the main campus.
Student Health Services said during a flu surge, they will do everything possible to meet the health care needs of students, however, due to high demand for services, it may be difficult to secure a timely appointment with a health care provider and wait times may increase.
The department said if you become sick and your symptoms are not severe and there are no other risk factors, you should isolate yourself from others, rest, drink plenty of fluids and monitor your condition until 24 hours after your fever is gone.
Officials said any students that are sick after-hours or if appointments are limited at Redfern, MUSC Health Virtual Urgent Care is available 24/7 and online visits are free for Clemson University and Bridge to Clemson students in SC.
