This is one of those tough reminders that even the worst crimes take place in our home state of Texas.
The FBI recently announced that they have arrested three suspects expected to be part of the Tren de Aragua gang in Houston.
According to KHOU, there were actually a total of eight individuals who were arrested as part of this sex trafficking operation.
You hate to hear about women who were forced into this, but according to the reports there were lots of women from Venezuela who were promised a better life then they were forced into prostitution.
This operation was active across multiple states.
The men leading this operation were known to separate children from their mothers and used to control the women into doing whatever they wanted.
In all, there were five arrests that took place in Nashville and three in Houston and the FBI and law enforcement officials are not done shutting down this type of illegal activities.
The FBI is encouraging anyone with information about trafficking operations to please come forward so future women and children don't have to suffer.
As always, we want to thank all FBI and law enforcement agencies who worked on this case.
