Yellowstone is airing its final season, but Taylor Sheridan's newest series has been sliding up and down the streaming charts like a slip n' slide. Landman recently debuted on Paramount+ and immediately jumped to the #3 spot behind only Tulsa King (Sylvester Stallone) and Lioness (Zoe Saldaña), but the series climbed even higher after Tulsa King experienced a slide and the other Sheridan originals moved up a spot. Now, at the time of writing Sheridan's Landman has slid down to #6, falling behind both Lioness and Tulsa King, as well as NCIS and its prequel spin-off show, NCIS: Origins. Landman has its work cut out for it if it's going to reclaim its spot in the top three, and the competition is fierce, which will undoubtedly make things more difficult for the drama series.

Landman stars Billy Bob Thornton in the lead role of Tommy Norris, the gritty and grizzled oilman who seems to find himself in the middle of a mess because he's always trying to clean up everyone else's problems. Featuring alongside Thornton in the show is Mad Men veteran Jon Hamm, who plays Monty Miller, the head of the oil company that Norris works for, and the rich big wig calling the shots. Ali Larter also stars in Landman as Angela Norris' Tommy's ex-wife who comes to visit in West Texas, only to convince Tommy to rekindle their flame and give their marriage another shot. Michelle Randolph and Jacob Lofland also star in Landman as Ainsley and Cooper Norris, respectively, Tommy's children who have taken incredibly different life paths.

What Other Projects Has Taylor Sheridan Created?
Landman creator Taylor Sheridan is best known for his work on Yellowstone, and he also serves as the writer and creator for its two prequel shows, 1923 and 1883. The former stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren and the latter features Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. In addition to his work in Lioness and Tulsa King, Sheridan is also the creator of Mayor of Kingstown, the Paramount+ Original series starring MCU veteran Jeremy Renner. He also wrote the screenplay for Tom Clandy's Without Remorse, the 2021 action movie starring Michael B. Jordan, and he wrote Sicario and its sequel, Sicario: Day of the Dead, which are both streaming on Prime Video and Tubi.
