LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Police are searching for a suspect after three people were shot and injured near a laundromat in Lafayette Thursday night.
Officers with the Lafayette Police Department were dispatched around 7:40 p.m. to 3100 South Street, the listed address for Lafayette Maytag Coin Laundry, in response to reports of a shooting in the area.
LPD said officers arrived and located three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Their exact conditions have not been provided by police as of this article's publication.
Investigators are currently searching for a suspect they described as an adult male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black hat, LPD said. Detectives are reviewing security camera footage to determine which direction the suspect reportedly fled following Thursday's incident.
