Google has officially released Android 15 for Pixel devices. This latest software update introduces new features and improved security to make smartphone experience better. While the visual changes might be subtle, Android 15 offers significant enhancements in privacy and multitasking.

Pixel devices eligible for the Android 15 update include Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Android 15: What's New

Android 15 brings a few new headlining features like Private Space, Detection Lock and more.

Private Space adds an extra layer of protection to your sensitive apps. Once enabled, these apps will be hidden from your main app list, notifications, and settings. You'll need to use a different authentication method to access them.

Theft Detection Lock is a new security feature rolling out to most devices running Android 10 and above. It automatically locks your phone to protect your personal data if the device is stolen, using sensors and AI to detect theft-related motions, such as sudden swiping and running.

The new Remote Lock feature lets you lock your phone from another device using your phone number, even if Find My Devices is turned off.

Android 15 includes optimizations for tablets and foldable phones, allowing users to pin the taskbar for quick access to frequently used apps and app pairs. The taskbar can be easily unpinned using the same toggle.
